Joshua is a clinical member and registered counsellor with the Singapore Association for Counselling. Having worked at a Family Service Centre previously, Joshua has years of experience counselling individuals (anger management issues, grief and loss issues, intrapersonal/sense of self issues), couples (marital conflict, building intimacy) and family (parenting issues, parent-child relationship, attachment issues).
In his practice, Joshua’s therapeutic approaches include Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and the Gottman-Method Couples Therapy, with Intentional Interviewing and Counselling as his main intervention skills.
Among his practices, Joshua specializes in couple counselling. Having completed the Level 1 and Level 2 training of the Gottman-Method Couples Therapy, Joshua adopts skills and knowledge from it to help couples to manage conflict and build intimacy in their marriage.
Joshua believes that knowing how to take care of one’s mental well-being is extremely important as it can impact a person’s quality of life.
