Feeling Comfortable in my own skin
I have been under Joseph’s counsel and guidance, during my JC time and after my national service, for the accumulated time of 2 years. Throughout this time, he has shown his compassion and dedication towards helping me improve and grow in many aspects of my life. He was there during my JC years to push me through my struggles coping with the stress of school life and social life and he was there to help me after my national service to solidify my beliefs and help me to gain clarity within myself to prepare me for my studies overseas.
During my sessions with him, he will always provide some insight into why I may be feeling a certain way about a particular situation and help me work through my doubts by picking out little details and working through it one by one. He will also provide materials for me to go back and reflect on, which shows the great effort he puts in to help his clients in the best possible way.
Joseph has many strengths but what I feel makes him a great counsellor is how he always goes the extra mile in helping his clients and how he really pays attention and listens and asks questions to help you think about the situation in a different light.
Anxiety is a common feeling amongst many and it is a normal thing to feel anxious, but it is how much it rules your life that will affect the way you think and feel. That is why counselling is here to help people who are in need of managing that anxiety so it does not take over their life. This was what I have learnt and what has stuck with me throughout my time being counselled by Joseph.
I would sincerely like to thank Joseph for helping me to feel comfortable in my own skin and I would highly recommend him to anyone who is in need of a counsellor 🙂
