Thank you Note for Joseph Rajagopal
This letter is way overdue, and I would like to apologize for not sending this thank you to you any sooner. Where do I start!? Saying thank you, never seem to be enough. Those two words will never be able to hold how much I valued what you have done for me. I would not be here today had I not met you.
When I first met you, I was in pain and grieving over a breakup. Given the struggles that I was going through, I had given up hope that things could be different from what they were. But you came along and told me to hold on to the hope that things would be better and that you would help me get through it. I believed you.
You have sat with me over the last seven months. I’ve laughed and cried in those sessions with you. I was angry and hurt and ashamed, but most importantly, I’ve healed. Thank you for helping me cope with the pain and also how to see things differently. Through much of your persuasion, I’ve finally bought into mindfulness. Having the ability to take a step back from my thoughts and feelings and identify what is happening and why I am thinking or feeling that way has changed my life. In moments of struggle to be able to be fully present and aware has been an invaluable skill.
I hope you realize how special and what an incredible counselor you are. I can’t thank you enough for what you have done. Thank you for sharing your stories and allowing me to see parts of your life which made it so much easier for me to work with you.
Just to share that I’ve completed my MBA and thank you for being a part of it.
